Frequently asked questions...

Individuals & Families

1. Who do you work with?
We offer counselling for children, adolescents, adults, and families living and working across cultures.

2. What kinds of issues can counselling help with?
We support a wide range of concerns including anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, identity shifts, cultural adjustment, and the emotional impact of frequent transitions.

3. Are your counsellors qualified?
Yes. All of our counsellors are UK-qualified and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). They also bring extensive international experience to their work.

4. How are sessions delivered?
Counselling sessions are held online via secure video call using HIPAA complient platforms, making it easy to connect from anywhere in the world.

5. Is online counselling effective?
Yes. Research shows that online counselling is as effective as face-to-face support for many issues. For globally mobile clients, it offers continuity, accessibility, and flexibility across locations and time zones.

6. How do I book a session?
You can contact us through the enquiry form on our website. We will respond promptly to arrange an initial consultation and discuss next steps.

7. What are your fees and how do I pay?
Session fees vary depending on the type of service. All counselling sessions must be paid in advance, and various payment options are available.

8. What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

9. What happens in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity to get to know your counsellor, talk about your goals and concerns, and decide together how counselling can best support you.

10. How many sessions will I need?
Every client is different. Some people benefit from a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. You and your counsellor will agree on a pace and timeframe that works for you.

11. Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Everything you share in counselling is treated with strict confidentiality, in line with BACP ethical guidelines. Exceptions are only made if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

12. Do you work across different time zones?
Yes. Our team works flexibly with clients around the world and will do our best to accommodate your time zone.

13. How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you are unsure, you are welcome to reach out for an initial conversation. This will give you a chance to ask questions, meet your counsellor, and decide whether our approach feels like a good fit.
